Born in 1975 in Rueil-Malmaison, Diane initially followed classical artistic training at the Rueil-Malmaison School of Fine Arts and initially painted figuratively. She continued with general studies and became a psychologist in 2002.
At the same time, her painting evolved. The year 2015 marks a turning point in his artistic practice and a profound transformation; representing and imitating the visible no longer allows him to show the world around him in a real way. So she sets out to paint differently and to free herself from any photographic representation with her brush. His painting loses its classic appearance; it becomes more expressive and intellectualizes to give a strong place to the emotions and the meaning of its representations.
A material painter, Diane Breton works with various materials (acrylic paint, sand, earth, glass, bitumen, wood, etc.), in volumes and materials creating a story with her textures.
p>His artistic approach fuses psychological exploration, expressive serifs and a studied color palette, offering abstract landscapes that encourage reflection or travel while maintaining an emotional anchor accessible to viewers.
By using these serifs with intention, she seeks the balance between reality and abstraction. Each brushstroke, each material placed with a knife, represents a psychological exploration, capturing moments of emotional connection with nature while arousing memories or emotions for the viewer.
Aware of the need to avoiding a total abstraction which could disorient some viewers, each painting presents a delicate balance, inviting the viewer to navigate between familiar forms or moments of life (walks, travels, etc.) and infinite emotional horizons.
